Seminars and
Workshops -
Educational sessions are a major association benefit and
priority.
Subjects are carefully selected to meet current and ongoing member
needs
in the areas of real estate and legal liability training. Association
specializes
in 3 to 4 hour courses to allow members to take education offering but
not have to be away from their work for long periods at a time.
Orientation
for
New
Members - Courses
are conducted to inform new members of their opportunities as well as
their
responsibilities. A new members transferring from one of the
surrounding
counties does not have to retake orientation.
Special
Designation
Courses - Courses
to satisfy the requirements of those seeking professional designations
such as GRI, CRS ,CRB or ABR are co-sponsored by the association or
associations
near by.
License
Credit
Courses
- Courses
to satisfy continuing education and pre and post license requirements
are
offered by the local Association and associations near by.
State
Courses
and
Regional Seminars
- The Real Estate Education Foundation (TREEF) of the Tennessee
Association
of REALTORS® (TAR) cosponsors courses with the local
Association.
TREEF and TAR offer courses, many approved for license credit.
NAR
Library -
The
National Association
of REALTORS® maintains the largest real estate library in the world
in Chicago. Items may be ordered and returned by mail by
any
REALTOR®.
Convention
and
Business Meetings
- State and National meetings offer members excellent education
opportunities
at economical group rates as well as excellent networking opportunities.

makes a constant effort to keep members informed and served on all

Meetings/luncheons are held on a regular basis, usually the third

of the month. These meetings provide opportunity for direct

Ethics
Hearings -
The Grievance and Professional Standards Committees are responsible for
investigating and, when appropriate, hearing complaints from members

Arbitration
Service
- Arbitration
of commission disputes between members is an important service of the
Association
as well as disputes about money arising from customers.
Affirmative
Marketing
Agreement
- This agreement between HUD and the REALTORS® Association furthers
the professional conduct of members by implementing policy to promote
fair
housing.

- Members may affiliate with Real Estate Specialty groups in areas such
as appraising, property management, commercial and residential

Tennessee
Association
of Realtors
- Members are automatically affiliated with the state Association when
they join the local Association. Based in Nashville, TAR
maintains
a professional staff to provide strong legislative and educational
services
as well as communications and other members benefits.
National
Association
of Realtors
- Affiliation with NAR is automatic with local and state
membership.
NAR represents REALTORS® in all states as the world’s largest Trade
Association. Service includes liaison with Congress and the
presidential
administration, education, advertising
campaigns for
REALTORS®, research
and legal counsel. A member library is also available.
